According to U.Today, Shibarium, the layer-2 solution of Shiba Inu, recently experienced an outage. The issue was reported by Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dhairya on a social media platform. Dhairya attributed the outage to networking problems among the validators. The network has since been restored, but Shibariumscam, a website that monitors the health of the Shibarium network, and external remote procedure calls (RPCs) may still be down as the team addresses external issues.
External teams working on Shibarium's infrastructure have been urged to contact Dhairya about the recent technical glitch. Shibarium, which was launched in August of last year, has had its share of technical difficulties. Despite these challenges, the network has been successful, as evidenced by data from Shibariumscam. The Shibarium blockchain has now exceeded 400 million transactions, and the number of wallets is nearing 1.7 million. On a single day, it recorded nearly a million transactions. However, on April 21, the number of transactions fell to just 10,040.
In other news, Shiba Inu, the popular meme coin, recently saw a double-digit price rally along with other joke cryptocurrencies like Solana-based Bonk (BONK). According to CoinGecko data, the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) has dropped 1.8% in the last 24 hours. It remains unclear whether this minor dip is due to profit-taking or the recent technical issues with Shibarium.
