Franklin Templeton Digital Assets, the digital asset agency of Franklin Templeton, announced the launch of peer-to-peer transferability of BENJI security tokens with yield on the X platform. This new feature will enable users to send BENJI tokens to the digital wallets of other BENJI holders. Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund (FOBXX) is now transferable from one shareholder to another on the public blockchain. One share of the fund is represented by one BENJI token, and the transfer agent maintains the official record of share ownership through a proprietary blockchain integration system.
Benji is a retail mobile application and institutional web application that allows investors to browse tokenized securities and cryptocurrencies and invest in the world's first tokenized money fund issued natively on the blockchain. Benji is provided and operated by Franklin Distributors, LLC, part of Franklin Templeton's global asset management organization.
