SBF accepted the first media interview since August last year: insisted that he was innocent and traded bags of rice in prison

SBF spoke to the media for the first time face-to-face since being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in August 2023. Shuttered in a large open dormitory with 35 other male inmates (half of whom were reportedly murderers cooperating with the government), SBF was reportedly so fed up with having only four televisions and an unconnected entertainment tablet on which he played games. SBF maintains his innocence, believing he was a “scapegoat,” and while he plans to appeal, he has begun trading commodities, namely bags of rice. (Cointelegraph)
