Translucia, the metaverse arm of Thai media giant T&B Media Globa, acquires majority stake in esports community Infofed

According to Incubees, Thailand’s metaverse company Translucia has acquired a majority stake in the local e-sports community Infofed. The acquisition amount has not yet been disclosed. People familiar with the matter said that the transaction size may be in the eight-digit range. Translucia was launched in September 2021 by Thai media giant T&B Media Global with an initial investment of US$260 million. Earlier this month, Translucia partnered with Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum to raise $300 million in hybrid equity-NFT capital.
