The 50 largest donors gave $1.1 billion to political committees and other groups participating in the midterm elections, according to a Washington Post analysis of Federal Election Commission data, led by George Soros with $128.5 million. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) came in fifth with $39.2 million, mostly donating to Democratic groups. Of this, $27 million from SBF went to political action committees (PACs), $6 million to support Democratic House candidates, and $2 million to support crypto-friendly candidates.
