Blockchain Association Files Amicus Brief Supporting Custodia Bank’s Lawsuit Against the Federal Reserve

The Blockchain Association, a US cryptocurrency lobbying group, posted on the X platform that it has submitted a friend of the court brief to the US Tenth Circuit Court in support of Custodia Bank's lawsuit against the Federal Reserve. Marisa Tashman Coppel, chief legal officer of the Blockchain Association, said: "The Federal Reserve claims that digital assets raise security and robustness issues, which protects existing large banks and makes it more difficult for industry participants to find banking partners. This puts customers in a difficult position. Custodia has become a victim of this scam. Most importantly, the Federal Reserve's main account provides security for banks and their customers. The inability to access the system will harm the interests of millions of law-abiding Americans who participate in the digital asset economy. I hope the Tenth Circuit Court will make the right decision."
