ENS domain name registrations declined in the second quarter, with .eth domain name registrations down 30% month-on-month in June

ENS domain name registrations declined in the second quarter, with monthly registrations starting to taper off after reaching their highest point since the beginning of the year in late April. On-chain data shows that the total number of .eth domain names registered in June was 20,131, down 30% from May (28,949) and 58% from the peak of registrations in April (47,704). June also saw a year-to-date low for primary ENS name registrations, with 14,401 primary ENS domain names registered in the 30-day period, down 39% from the previous month and 55% from the 31,982 primary domain names registered at the beginning of the year. Open interest in ENS derivatives climbed to an all-time high of $153 million on July 1. However, it has been on a downward trend since then.
