‘토스’를 운영하는 비바리퍼블리카 이승건 대표가 파산한 미국 가상자산 거래소에서 약 730억원을 대출받은 것으로 확인됐다고 조선비즈가 단독 보도했다. 미국 델라웨어파산법원의 FTX트레이딩(FTX Trading Ltd.) 파산 절차 관련 문서에 따르면 이 대표는 지난 2021년 11월 4일 FTX트레이딩 계열사인 맥로린인베스트먼트(Maclaurin investments)로부터 5475만1149달러(약 730억9000만원)를 대출받는 계약을 맺었다. 이 문서에서 이 대표가 대출받은 돈은 ‘회수 가능성이 불확실한 상태’라고 명시돼 있다. FTX트레이딩은 이 대표에게 대출을 제공했을 뿐 아니라 비바리퍼블리카에 7130만달러(약 952억원)의 지분 투자도 한 것으로 나타났다.
