Base testnet launches fault proof, a step towards decentralization

Base officially announced the launch of fault proof on the Base testnet, allowing anyone to propose or question proposals about L2 status in a permissionless manner. Base said that fault proof is a fundamental step towards decentralization. Another important step for Base to reach the first stage of decentralization is to add the Security Council to its contract upgrade key. Once this step is completed, Base can only perform contract upgrades based on actions taken by the Optimism Security Council, and the Optimism Security Council only takes actions approved by Optimism Governance.
