The Venezuelan government has blocked access to Binance, social media platform X, and other online services amid unrest caused by disputed presidential election results. On August 9, local anti-censorship organization VE sin Filtro posted that "it was detected that the DNS of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance was blocked, which affected the normal operation of its website and mobile application."
Binance said that "like the websites of several companies in different fields in Venezuela, including social networks, Binance's pages also face access restrictions." Binance assured users that their funds are safe, adding that it is "closely monitoring the situation in order to resolve the problem in the best and fastest way." (Cointelegraph)
