Reuters poll: More than 50% of economists expect the Fed to cut the federal funds rate by 75 basis points this year

According to a Reuters survey, 55 of 101 economists expect the Federal Reserve to cut the federal funds rate by 75 basis points this year (50 basis points were expected in July), and the economists surveyed expect the average economic growth rate of the United States in 2024 and 2025 to be 2.5% and 1.8% respectively.
