Vitalik Buterin: AI and prediction markets can accelerate the generation of community notes on the X platform

Community notes are a feature of the X platform that allows the community to add context to potentially misleading posts. Vitalik noted that the biggest criticism of community notes is that they "don't appear fast enough," which can lead to some users being misled by inaccurate information before the notes appear. Vitalik believes that prediction markets may be a solution to this problem. He explained: "Prediction markets can serve as a building block to make other mechanisms faster. Whenever a new post is published, a question can be set to determine whether a community note is needed. Users can bet small amounts of money on this prediction market using large AI language models and bots. This mechanism can speed up the process of obtaining the truth and provide incentives for participants. The mechanism is low-cost and fast."
