DeltaPrime, a DeFi project in the Avalanche and Arbitrum ecosystem, officially confirmed a security incident on the X platform, saying: "DeltaPrime Blue has been attacked, and this is the current status:
At 6:14 a.m. Eastern Time, DeltaPrime Blue (Arbitrum) was attacked and lost $5.98 million. This was due to the theft of private keys, and the team is currently investigating its source.
DeltaPrime Red (Avalanche) is not vulnerable to such attacks because its deployment is fully covered by multi-signatures and cold wallets (as it should be).
The risk is controllable, we are recovering assets, and the insurance pool will cover any potential losses that may/necessary. In addition, we are looking for other ways to minimize user losses.
We will keep the incident updated through the official X account and Discord."
Earlier today, according to Cyvers Alerts monitoring, DeltaPrime was suspected of being attacked and the administrator seemed to have lost the private key. Suspicious addresses are continuously transferring assets. So far, the affected liquidity pools include DPUSDC, DPARB, and DPBTCb. The attacker has exchanged USDC for ETH.
