CBA: RBA expected to cut interest rates in December rather than November

Australia's August jobs report was so strong that the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) postponed its forecast for the first rate cut from November to December. Gareth Aird, CBA's head of Australian economics, said, "Not everyone is ready for a rate cut in November." He added that while inflation will cool further, recent strong employment growth, coupled with the still relatively hawkish comments from RBA Governor Bullock, means that it is more likely that the cash rate will begin to normalize in December.
