A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Tuesday showed that U.S. Vice President Harris leads former President Trump 47% to 40% ahead of the November U.S. presidential election as she appears to undercut Trump's advantage on the economy and jobs.
When asked which candidate has a better approach to "economy, unemployment and jobs," about 43% of voters chose Trump and 41% chose Harris. Trump's advantage on the topic is 2 percentage points, while he led by 3 percentage points in the August survey and 11 percentage points shortly after Harris launched her campaign in late July.
While national polls provide important signals about voters' views, the results of the state electoral college determine who is the winner, and the election situation in seven swing states may be decisive. (Jin Shi)
