Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said that Voltaire-era governance reforms prevented the chain from becoming a "dictatorship" like Ethereum and avoided the "anarchy" of Bitcoin.
In an interview in Singapore, Hoskinson attacked Ethereum's current governance model, claiming that Ethereum relies too much on its co-founder Vitalik Buterin for direction.
Hoskinson said that blockchains can choose to keep the protocol simple forever, like Bitcoin, or "pick a king" to run affairs. However, Cardano's new governance model solves the "governance trilemma" of "efficiency, effectiveness and integrity" by distilling complex governance topics for voting through delegates and a membership-based organization called Intersect.
When asked to explain his controversial remarks linking Ethereum to dictatorship, Hoskinson said that Ethereum's "whole vision" began with Buterin, but will end with him. (Cointelegraph)
