According to foreign media reports, OpenAI is setting up a team in Singapore to support the growing demand for artificial intelligence tools in the Asia-Pacific region. The new office will be established by the end of this year. In addition, OpenAI is also working with the Singapore Artificial Intelligence Association (AI Singapore). OpenAI said in a statement that Singapore is one of the countries with the highest per capita use of ChatGPT. Earlier this year, OpenAI opened its first Asian office in Tokyo, Japan, to provide customized GPT-4 models for Japanese-speaking customers. Singapore is now the Asian center of several major American Internet companies, including Google and Meta Platforms.
