Roam announces the creation of a global decentralized telecommunications data network and launches free roaming eSim

Roam announced that it will take the lead in building the Telecom Data Layer, which will connect and share data between people, devices, assets and AI through the existing decentralized WiFi roaming network and DID+VCs authentication mechanism. This initiative combines blockchain technology with real-world facility hardware to build a versatile, secure and scalable underlying platform. Currently, Roam's network covers nearly 190 countries and regions, with more than 1 million registered users of the Roam APP, more than 600,000 self-owned nodes and more than 3.5 million OpenRoaming™ nodes. It is the only Web3 IDP of the World Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA). The data layer usually provides support for data collaboration and interaction on the public blockchain, and Roam, as a physical hardware network based on geographic location data, makes it possible to build the Telecom Data Layer. Roam Telecom Data Layer consists of four ecological modules, including Roam Network, Roam Growth, Roam Discovery and Roam Community, which focus on the incentive construction of the network, the continuous income construction of network participants, the support and incubation of connectable or embedded projects, and community governance, and jointly create a cohesive and highly interactive BoT (Blockchain of Things) ecosystem. Roam also launched a new product, Roam eSIM, which allows users to participate in the construction of WiFi networks in the APP and receive and use global roaming traffic for free. Through Roam's WiFi network and eSIM users can further achieve seamless use of the global network through an APP.
