According to Odaily, Gunzilla Games' blockchain-based battle royale game 'Off the Grid' has secured the top spot among free games on the Epic Games Store. Despite being labeled as an early access game, it has also gained significant attention on the Twitch streaming platform, with 154,440 viewers tuning in to watch live gameplay of the new version on October 11. 'Off the Grid' incorporates blockchain features built on a custom Avalanche subnet called GUNZ. This ecosystem allows players to mint NFTs representing in-game items such as weapons and skins. By converting these items into NFTs or other on-chain assets, players can maintain control over their in-game possessions and potentially access a secondary market for these assets. Previously, Gunzilla Games released the early access version of 'Off the Grid' on Sony's PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store. Early previews of the game highlighted its AAA-level graphics and gameplay.
