A virtual currency fraud case occurred in Tai Kok Tsui, Hong Kong yesterday (October 26). A woman transferred money to a "male employee" through an online wallet at a virtual currency exchange (OTC). The latter took the opportunity to leave without paying the corresponding cash. The woman was shocked and reported the case immediately.
The store said that the physical money exchange shop involved in the case was still under renovation, and the store did not belong to them, but was a fake store. At present, the Hong Kong police have classified the case as "fraud" and have not arrested anyone yet. It is reported that the female victim lost 12,000 USDT, equivalent to a total value of about HK$93,000. (Hong Kong 01)
