NYDIG, a bitcoin infrastructure and financial services company, has acquired bitcoin mining company Consensus Technology Group (CTG), according to people familiar with the matter.
According to information on the LinkedIn platform, the transaction may be completed in October. CTG co-founder and chief technology officer David Westrop's LinkedIn shows that he started a new operational position at NYDIG last month, and another CTG co-founder Joshua Zappala's LinkedIn also shows that he was employed by NYDIG to be responsible for corporate development and strategy. NYDIG declined to comment.
According to its website, CTG provides hosting services and operates bitcoin mines in North Dakota, South Dakota, Pennsylvania and Missouri, with a total capacity of 120 megawatts and a managed computing power of 5 EH/s. (Blockspace)
