Earlier this month, Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token saw a 3,720% increase in trading volume, reaching nearly $1.5 billion despite losing 259 million players (down 86% from a high of 300 million players in July).
On November 9, HMSTR trading volume jumped from $39 million at 00:27 GMT to $496 million at 14:03 GMT.
The next day, despite a drop in players, trading volume jumped again to $1.49 billion, a new all-time high. It’s unclear what caused the sudden increase in trading volume.
Its price also surged 125% from $0.002638 to $0.005954 (currently trading back to). However, HMSTR's trading volume and price subsequently dropped to $160 million and $0.003931, respectively, in the next four days, down 89% and 33%, respectively.
In addition, IntoTheBlock data shows that its daily active address count has dropped from about 700,000 at the end of September to only 20,000 in recent days. (Protos)
