Ripple Labs, a U.S. blockchain payment company, has stepped up testing of its stablecoin RLUSD. According to Ripple Stablecoin Tracker data, Ripple is conducting two tests at the same time, which are minting and transferring on the XRP Ledger protocol. This is the first RLUSD test disclosed so far this month.
In the past few months, Ripple Labs has been testing RLUSD in an effort to join the rapidly growing stablecoin ecosystem. The latest minted XRP Ledger Index is 146, containing 9,999,700 RLUSD.
Earlier news, according to FOX Business, the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) is about to approve a new stablecoin RLUSD issued by cross-border payment company Ripple. People familiar with the matter said that the New York Department of Financial Services has told Ripple that it will approve the product, and the company plans to launch the product on December 4.
