Roni Cohen-Pavon, former chief revenue officer of crypto lending platform Celsius, will not be sentenced on Dec. 11 after the company’s former CEO Alex Mashinsky reached an agreement with U.S. prosecutors.
In a Dec. 9 filing with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge John Koeltl granted a request by U.S. Attorney Damian Williams to move Cohen-Pavon’s sentencing hearing to after Mashinsky’s, which is scheduled for April 2025.
Williams said the information provided by Cohen-Pavon “may be relevant to Mashinsky’s sentencing hearing.” Judge Koeltl ordered both parties to report updates on April 18, ten days after Mashinsky’s scheduled hearing. Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty to U.S. criminal charges in 2023 and has been granted bail to travel to Israel. (Cointelegraph)
