Data: Before bankruptcy, FTX had only $900 million in liquid assets and $8.9 billion in liabilities

On the eve of bankruptcy, FTX had only $900 million in liquid assets and $8.9 billion in liabilities, according to the Financial Times. The report, citing investment materials, noted that the largest easy-to-sell asset available to FTX was $470 million worth of Robinhood stock, which is owned by corporate entities outside of SBF. Additionally, despite being officially headquartered outside the United States, FTX reported $5.1 billion of its liabilities in U.S. dollars.
