Crypto payment platform MoonPay announced that it has obtained the MiCA license issued by the Netherlands Financial Markets Authority. The MiCA regulations establish a unified legal framework for digital assets across the European Economic Area (EEA), aiming to improve consumer protection, transparency and market stability. The platform said that with MiCA approval, it can continue to provide fiat-to-cryptocurrency and crypto-to-fiat payment services in Europe. The payment company said that it operates in more than 180 countries and supports more than 100 digital assets.
