Elitsa Taskova, chief product officer at crypto lending platform Nexo, is more optimistic about Bitcoin's prospects in 2025 than the general consensus. "We believe Bitcoin will more than double in a year to $250,000," Elitsa Taskova noted. "These predictions are in line with ongoing trends and social markers: increasing acceptance of Bitcoin as a reserve asset and more widespread adoption of exchange-traded products (ETPs) related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies." She believes that in the long term, such as the next decade, the market capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency will exceed that of gold. Elitsa Taskova added that supportive macroeconomic conditions, such as monetary policy easing by the world's major central banks, could boost Bitcoin. "The Fed's balancing act - managing interest rates and inflation while avoiding economic stagnation will be key," Taskova said. On the other hand, she warned that continued inflation could also prompt the Fed to shift to a hawkish stance. "With the United States leading the way in crypto-related capital deployment, the Fed's interest rate decisions and the inflation dynamics in the United States are likely to remain key factors influencing Bitcoin prices in 2025."
