In October 2024, the amount of ETH locked in liquidity staking platforms exceeded 14 million, but the total amount of ETH held in these protocols is now below the record level of 13.85 million ETH at the end of November.
As of January 5, 2025, there are still about 13.78 million ETH locked in liquidity staking platforms, a decrease of 70,000 since the end of November. Among them, Lido dominates with 69.96% (holding 9.64 million staked ETH, worth $34.9 billion).
However, the ETH staked on Lido has dropped by 160,000 since November 30, 2024, when 9.8 million ETH was staked. Meanwhile, Binance’s liquidity staking platform added 150,000 ETH in the past 36 days; Rocket Pool experienced a sustained outflow of funds, losing 479,374 ETH from October 29 to the end of November, and another 7,743 ETH in the past 36 days.
The 13.78 million ETH currently locked in these LSD platforms accounts for 11.44% of the circulating supply of ETH (120,474,080). (Bitcoin.com)
