Analysis: MicroStrategy may enter a shutdown period in January and stop issuing stocks and convertible bonds to buy more BTC

MicroStrategy disclosed on January 6 that it had increased its holdings of 1,070 bitcoins. According to documents submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), these bitcoins were purchased by MicroStrategy for approximately $101 million in cash between December 30 and 31, 2024, with an average price of approximately $94,004 per bitcoin. MicroStrategy disclosed in its Form 8-K filing that it has not made additional bitcoin purchases since December 31, 2024.
