Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has appointed a new European executive team to drive its regional expansion plans in 2025, mainly including:
Mark Jennings was appointed as head of Europe. He previously served as chief operating officer of Kraken's European business;
Daniel Slutzkin was appointed as head of the UK. He previously came from the UK broker Stake.
Vijay Selvam will serve as international general counsel, responsible for licensing and regulatory strategy in Europe and the UK. He moved from Gemini's Asia-Pacific team to work in the UK.
It is reported that the appointment comes at a time when EU member states face a December 30 deadline to implement the MiCA regulation, which sets new rules for crypto service providers. (Coindesk)
