Data: Nearly half of South Korea's "crypto whales" are investors over 50 years old

According to statistics from South Korea's Dong-A Ilbo, the age structure of South Korean cryptocurrency investors has shown significant changes. The data showed that the number of investors in the 50-year-old age group increased by 56.4% year-on-year to 1.75 million, while the number of investors aged 60 and above increased by 52.6% from 371,800 to 636,700. It is worth noting that among the group of people holding cryptocurrency assets exceeding 1 billion won (approximately "whale" investors), nearly half are over 50 years old.
