MetaMask institutional solution MetaMask Institutional (MMI) has launched programmatic access for organizations. Programmatic access will allow organizations to connect to Web3 through their own API, will enable them to create scripts to complete complex execution strategies on various DeFi protocols, and build , custom and automated scripts to speed up transaction production, confirmation and signing. Organizations that want to use MMI programmatic access must register with MMI and work with one of its hosting partners, and they will need access to a "refresh token" provided by their host. A "refresh token" is a JSON Web token, which is essentially a compact, secure, and fast way of exchanging and authenticating information between two parties. On the MMI browser extension, authentication is done within the UI; when accessing MMI programmatically, a refresh token is required to override this interaction. MMI's programmatic access feature allows organizations to programmatically execute across multiple custodians, instead of having to connect to each custodian individually, an organization can simply connect to a unified SDK and create transactions across all custodians of their choice.
