The Cointelegraph team has scoured the deepest trenches of the blockchain world to find the most artistic, analytical, and innovative individuals to feature in this comprehensive list of people and trends that shaped the industry in 2021 and will continue to drive it.
2021 is a year like no other. As El Salvador makes Bitcoin (BTC) legal tender, miners undergo a mass migration, NFT sales break records and cryptocurrency prices soar to all-time highs and lows, it's been one of the most important years in blockchain history.
But behind all the big moves and events happening are the people who have worked and contributed to the development of an industry that is still only a little over a decade old. In addition to people (and maybe animals -- spoiler alert!), there are concepts and technologies that have been brought to life or gained more prominence in the past year and are likely to serve as industries in the future. part continues to develop.
While not everyone agrees on which roles to include or not include in the final list, it was conceived based on one simple primary criterion: spotting those who will have an impact in 2021 and could ultimately have a significant impact on the direction of the industry in 2022.
