In a recent joint statement, Polygon Labs and South Korea's leading mobile carrier, SK Telecom, have unveiled their strategic collaboration to advance the development of a web3 ecosystem.
Scheduled for launch in the latter half of 2023, SK Telecom's forthcoming web3 wallet will not only encompass compatibility with the Polygon network but also introduce functionality for NFT trading.
Additionally, the partnership aims to identify promising startups for potential incubation.
The official agreement was formally sealed at SK Telecom's headquarters in Seoul.
Notably, this collaboration is hailed as a significant stride towards offering web3 experiences to a wider audience, as pointed out by Polygon Labs CEO, Marc Boiron.
SK Telecom's NFT marketplace, TopPort, will also be extending its support to the Polygon blockchain.
Simultaneously, both companies are actively engaged in the pursuit of identifying and fostering nascent Web3 startups, aligning with the broader goal of encouraging innovation.
SKT's Web3 wallet, which is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2023, will also support the Polygon network and introduce NFT trading.
