As the unit price of non-homogeneous tokens (NFT) continues to approach the hundreds of dollars mark, NFT is becoming a treasure trove of much attention. It is not surprising that an NFT sold for $69 million, or a tweet sold for $2.9 million.
In 2021, an NFT created by digital artist Beeple (real name Mike Winkelmann) sold for a whopping $69 million, making the NFT the subject of intense media coverage and opening the door to a host of other NFT sales, many of them All reached millions of dollars. Discussions about NFT are overwhelming, and Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Eminem, Grimes and many other stars have joined the NFT craze.
In 2022, NFT will receive widespread attention from investors, artists, and collectors. Let's take a look at the 10 most expensive NFTs sold so far:

CryptoPunk #7804 — $7.57 million
CryptoPunks are an NFT collection of 10,000 unique characters hosted on the Ethereum blockchain, and there is no exact similar CryptoPunk, which makes them extremely valuable. CryptoPunk #7804 stands out for having some rare attributes throughout the collection.
These attributes include alien skins that only 0.09% of NFTs have, smoking pipes that only 3% of NFTs have, and small shadows that only 4% of NFTs have. There is also a "hat forward" quality that only 3% of NFTs have. These attributes make CryptoPunk #7804 so rare that it is one of the most expensive NFTs out there.
CryptoPunk #3100 — $7.58 million
As one of the 9 alien punks, CryptoPunk #3100 also has an alien skin, which is the main factor driving its value. This teal skinned NFT has a unique look with a white and blue headband. Underscoring its rarity, only 406 of the 10,000 pieces included have headbands.
CryptoPunk #3100 was first released in 2017 and gained traction in March 2021 with bids of $2 million before eventually selling for $7.58 million the same month.
CryptoPunk #7523 — $11.7 million

Other rare attributes include a knit hat, and a face mask that only 2% of NFTs have. But even factoring in all those rare properties, its $11.7 million price tag is mind-bogglingly high.

Varying in content, medium, and style, these artworks, often showing dystopian or satirical settings, are highly appreciated by aficionados.

The Merge — $91.8 million
The Merge, created by artist Pak, takes the top spot for the most expensive NFT of all time. Although the artist has never revealed his true identity, he is already well-known in the field of digital art.
"The Merge" is not a static work of art, but a dynamic work with an experimental nature. Anyone interested can purchase "mass" tokens, which are then composed into dynamic NFTs. At first, the NFT consisted of three large dots against a black background. The size of the dots increases with the number of buyers.
It is nearly halfway through 2022, and the market has slowed down, but the public's attention to NFT is still high. Since the price of NFT has no upper limit, we may continue to witness unbelievably high-priced NFT in the near future.
