Everything seems to be moving in a positive direction, but there is no clear narrative thread, so long tweets are less meaningful than before. But let's briefly review the current situation:
1) Uni v4 Lecture
Discussion about Uniswap v4 is heating up, with private placement financing amounts rumored to have reached nine figures, and the price of my preferred beta version has risen by double digits almost every day. Although this topic is hot, it seems that it has not yet found a suitable narrative framework for it.
Perhaps because of this, it has brought more appeal to the only investable target in the market. Obviously, however, you should be careful when investing and avoid buying high because of panic and missing opportunities.
2) Real Revenue
I mentioned before that deep pullbacks in $AAVE are good buying opportunities for me. AAVE is currently benefiting from regulatory clarity, new Trump lawsuits, and real revenue growth. However, there are not many other investment targets with similar favorable factors.
One interesting but less mentioned project is $RAIL, which is also Vitalik Buterin’s favorite privacy protocol. It currently has an estimated annual revenue of $2.7 million (up since March) and a market cap of about $60 million, which is worth paying attention to.
Of course, privacy protocols are usually discounted when facing regulatory risks, so invest with caution.
3) Regolith Labs’ $ORE Launch
$ORE made a lot of noise when it jammed the Solana network, and now they are launching a fund aimed at accelerating PoW projects on Solana. While the token price has seen double-digit gains again, it is still far from the initial sky-high FDV price.
This is not my personal investment choice, but it is certainly worth adding to the watchlist.
4) Edge Oracle and Chaos Labs
The oracle space is in dire need of more competition: we are facing challenges such as centralization issues and single points of failure. Chainlink used to be almost a monopoly, then Pyth came along and broke this situation, and now there is Edge Oracle, which is preferred by projects such as Jupiter and GMX.
Edge is attractive for two reasons:
It comes from Chaos Labs, so you get risk analysis and oracle services at the same time, which is an attractive combination for DeFi protocols;
It plans to fully decentralize the Edge oracle network, which is undoubtedly an exciting development.
5) wBTC Update
With less than 30 days until the major wBTC update, MakerDAO has completed the offline operation, $tBTC's popularity in DeFi has reached a new high, and cBBTC has also been launched.
While cBBTC is centralized, it is fully interchangeable with BTC on Coinbase, relying on continuous arbitrage trading to ensure tight liquidity. There is nothing wrong with having a centralized option here, the key is to have a variety of options, as long as the centralized counterparty is "benign".
There are still many things to watch, and the ones mentioned last time are still interesting in my opinion, but there have been no updates recently.
