The ex-pump.fun employee who had allegedly been involved in a $1.9 million exploit executed just days before has stated that he was arrested and charged, and that he is currently out on bail within the United Kingdom.
On May 16, a user, "STACCoverflow," who had been posting in the thread and verified that he is named Jarett Dunn, claimed responsibility. Pump.fun states that he used this "privileged position" to access a "withdraw authority" and compromise the systems of the Protocol.
In a series of May 18 posts on a separate X account, Dunn claimed he "spent overnight in custody as the pump team alleges I stole [$2 million]" and "conspired to steal an additional $80 million", adding he was "released on bail and mental health sectioned".
Dunn added he is now being kept in hospital and is posting from an ipad it issued to him. He added his mental health "was taken into question and I am likely unfit for [police] interview" and that could happen after his bail if he is fit for questioning.
The Canadian man told The Moscow Times the local embassy had emailed his family "a list of lawyers," but he added he is "not able to communicate with them" until he recovers his devices, of which he claimed "2/5 are seized."
He told me he had even taken his passport and that the authorities had not mentioned a word as to him not being able to leave the country.
In an email to another X user, The Rollup, Dunn is said to have informed that he had to visit a police station by Aug. 15 The account also says a private intelligence company had been hired to track Dunn down in London. Under another X post, Dunn has been urging U.K. residents to press charges against a London headquartered company that he alleges is a pump.fun affiliate and claims his bail terms prohibit him from contacting the company and its CEO.
Pump.fun did not return a request for comment. The private intelligence firm purportedly involved in coming up with Dunn did not return an immediate request for comment.
