Forgotten Playland is a captivating free-to-play social party game that unfolds in the serene setting of a long-abandoned house, where a whimsical world comes to life.
In the dusty rooms and forgotten corners of this time-lost abode, discarded toys left by their owners embark on enchanting journeys of their own.
Set within the secluded attic of this deserted estate, a band of small plush toy characters known as PlushKyns have been left to their own devices.
Your adventure in Forgotten Playland begins at the Social Hub, a vibrant and interactive online space where players gather to socialise and form groups with friends and strangers alike to explore the game's world.
This Social Hub is the very attic where the PlushKyns were abandoned, serving as the initial point of interaction with the game.
Within this Hub, you will discover a variety of thematic areas that partition the attic into distinct vibes and themes.
Each thematic area functions as a unique district within the Hub, catering to specific themes or moods, from the energetic vibes of the Space Disco Area to the tranquil ambiance of the Beach Bar Area.
Beyond mere exploration, the Social Hub acts as a gateway to key game features such as the Customisation Station and the Party Game Chest.
At the Customisation Station, players can personalise their PlushKyn characters, who, at first glance, appear cute and innocent but harbour hidden dark sides.
Players can modify up to six different traits of their PlushKyn using cosmetics, including skin, head, eyes, neck, arms, and legs.
This deep level of customisation allows players to express their individuality and creativity, ensuring that each PlushKyn is distinct and a reflection of the player's style and preferences.
These cosmetics range from common to ultra-rare, guaranteeing the uniqueness of every PlushKyn.
Players can collect these cosmetics through ToyBox collections, with the first collection released before the game's launch.
Although the sale of Toyboxes occurred from 28 to 30 March, the collection remains available for trade using $BEAM on the Sphere marketplace.
The Party Game Chest introduces players to a series of imaginative and competitive minigames, set within the creatively repurposed spaces of the attic.
These party games highlight the PlushKyns' competitive spirit, ranging from playful contests to subtly sinister challenges.
Toyboxes offer more than just mystery; they are treasure troves brimming with goodies to make your PlushKyn unique.
Unbox a world of possibilities to customise your base skin, head, eyes, neck, arms, and legs, allowing your creativity to shine.
Inside your Toybox, you will discover an enchanting array of items to bring your PlushKyn to life.
Additionally, each cosmetic item comes with its own rarity, adding another layer of excitement to your customisation journey.
Although the sale of Toyboxes has ended, the Toybox collection is available for trade for $BEAM on the Sphere marketplace.
And there will likely be new Toyboxes with new cosmetics in the future to look forward to.
At the core of Forgotten Playland lies an array of entertaining mini-games and extensive customisation options for your PlushKyn, ensuring each gaming session is a delightful experience.
Players guide their PlushKyn through imaginative and competitive challenges set within the cleverly repurposed spaces of the attic, showcasing their competitive spirit and skill.
Among the mini-games are:
Bump-A-Ball: A dynamic wooden arena where players must use quick reflexes to avoid obstacles and outmanoeuvre opponents with stealthy attacks. The platform becomes increasingly challenging as saw blades reduce its size, with the goal being to outlast opponents and remain standing.
Jungle Rumble: A lush jungle setting filled with hidden perils and thrilling escapades, where players dodge obstacles and rivals to emerge victorious.
Colour Canvas: A vibrant competition where players strive to cover the canvas with their designated colours, requiring strategy and speed to win.
Splash Step: A test of memory and agility as players navigate a changing arena of coloured tiles, racing against time and opponents to remember the illuminated areas.
BalanceBeam Bonanza: A precision-based challenge where players aim to be the first to complete a narrow course.
Shuffle Square: A fast-paced game of reflexes where players must quickly occupy the square that matches the displayed image.
Busy Board: A nimble game where players must avoid the square with the designated image on a shifting board.
Rolling Rally: A high-speed race against friends and foes to complete laps around a circuit, with the added challenge of a constantly moving screen.
Tentacle Tap: A deep-sea frenzy where players compete to slap tentacles and collect coins, requiring quick reflexes.
Snuggle Standstill: A tense game of precision and timing, where players must advance cautiously and freeze at the right moment to reach the finish line.
Forgotten Playland is designed to evolve over time, with new mini-games continuously added to the roster, promising an ever-expanding world of fun and competition.
The concept behind the Forgotten Playland economy is straightforward: to foster an engaging and sustainable gaming environment.
Central to this is the Forgotten Playland ($FP) token, which was launched on 21 February and serves as the primary currency within the game.
At the time of writing, it is trading at $0.00682, a 48.62% decline in the past month but a 14.81% increase in the last seven days, according to CoinMarketCap.
It hit its all-time-high (ATH) of $0.09812 about a week after it launched but its all-time-low was about two weeks prior at $0.005389.
The $FP token's main utilities include:
Native currency for the in-game store: Players can purchase items to enhance their gaming experience from the in-game store, which offers a wide range of items, including:
Cosmetics: Standalone trait cosmetics or full sets to upgrade characters, with prices varying based on rarity.
Tournament tickets: Given the game's competitive nature, players can buy tickets to participate in regularly hosted tournaments, either individually or in bulk.
Toyboxes: These contain a mix of cosmetics across all rarities, and new Toyboxes may be introduced during special events.
The total supply of FP tokens is fixed at 10,000,000,000 (10 billion), with no potential for future increases. The distribution following the Token Generation Event (TGE) is as follows:
20% Game Reserve: Earmarked for game expansion, unlocking monthly over 24 months.
30% Community Incentives: Reserved for community incentives, including gameplay and engagement, with 10% unlocked at TGE and the remaining 90% unlocking monthly over 24 months.
25% Seed Contributors: Allocated to project seed contributors, with 10% unlocked at TGE and the remaining 90% locked for 3 months, then unlocking monthly over 18 months.
25% Contributors & Advisors: For current and future project contributors and advisors, locked for 6 months, then unlocking monthly over 24 months.
The initial circulating supply will be 550,000,000 FP tokens (5.5%), reflecting the 10% unlock of Community Incentives and Seed Contributors allocations at TGE.
Tokens designated for Game Reserve and Community Incentives may not enter circulation immediately upon unlocking, as they will only be used when beneficial to the game.
Any unallocated portion of the 25% for Seed Contributors and 25% for Contributors & Advisors may be redirected to Game Reserve or Community Incentive purposes.
