This has not been the best year for NFT sales or bottom prices for the most popular collectibles.
Yuga Labs’ NFT collectibles Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks, originally created by Larva Labs, saw their lowest prices between January 1 and November 28, 2023, according to The Block’s data dashboard Decreased 57.6% and 13.8% respectively.
However, Bored Apes And CryptoPunks account for most of the most expensive NFT sales in 2023. In fact, four of them are from Bored Ape collectibles, four more from CryptoPunks, as well as an Art Block Fidenza and a Mutant Ape NFT.
Here are the most expensive NFT sales of 2023:
10) Bored Ape Yacht Club #5116 — 440 ETH
The NFT It was sold on the NFT platform X2Y2 on March 7 for 440 ETH. NFT rarities include Psychedelic Fur, which is only 0.77% out of 10,000 Bored Ape NFTs, and Kings Crown, which is also 0.77% rare.
9) CryptoPunk #3307 — 500 ETH
While other NFTs are valued for their rarity properties, CryptoPunk #3307 is special in that it lacks any properties. According to the CryptoPunk website, it is one of eight CryptoPunks with zero attributes.
The asset was sold on the Larva Labs marketplace on August 4 for nearly $1 million worth of ETH.
8) Mutant Ape Yacht Club #30002 — 500 ETH
This Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT marks the sole property of the Mutant Ape Collection, a spin-off of the Bored Ape Yacht Club, entering the top 10. It has a 1-of-1 “Giant Zombie” trait, making it the only NFT out of 20,000 MAYC NFTs to have this trait. On September 1, a user purchased the NFT for 500 ETH on NFT marketplace Blur.
7) Bored Ape Yacht Club #4980 — 530 ETH
Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT #4980 is one of 46 solid gold fur yachts and has other rare features. Of the 10,000 NFTs in the collection, this NFT features a gray background (11.7% have this feature), a smoking jacket (2.2%), an angry expression (4.3%), a party hat (1.2%), and is pronouncing the phoneme "ooo ” (2.5%). On May 15, it sold for 530 ETH, worth $1.06 million.
6) CryptoPunks #8531 — 550 ETH
One of the 88 existing "ZombiePunks" has become the sixth most expensive NFT auction item in 2023. This NFT is one of 463 NFTs with wispy hair, one of 295 NFTs with a goatee, and one of 527 NFTs with regular shades.
On July 15, it was sold on the CryptoPunks marketplace for 550 ETH, worth $1.06 million.
5) Bored Ape Yacht Club #1734 — 600 ETH
The asset, which traded for $1.2 million worth of ETH on X2Y2 on July 13, is one of 46 other Bored Ape NFTs with solid gold fur. It also includes a Faux Eagle, which only 1.2% of the collection owns, and a "Boring Cigarette," which has a rarity of 7.1%.
4) CryptoPunk #7458 — 600 ETH
This is another ZombiePunk, only this one has a knit hat (1 of 419), shaded beard (1 of 526), and regular shades (1 of 527 1 species). On November 6, a user purchased the NFT on the CryptoPunks marketplace for 600 ETH, worth $1.14 million.
3) Fidenza #545 — 625 ETH
The only NFT collection that is not from CryptoPunks or Bored Apes IP is the generated NFT collection Art Blocks from Tyler Hobbs. Fidenza #545, part of the Fidenza series, sold on OpxttmenSea for 625 ETH ($1.145 million). The rarest feature of this NFT is its “small” size; Fidenzas with small size feature have a base price of 600 ETH on OpenSea.
2) Bored Ape Yacht Club #7090 — 800 ETH
The NFT was sold on X2Y2 on February 7 for 800 ETH and is worth $1.6 million. It has solid golden fur, a multi-colored smile (1.2%), regular clothes (1.4%), and heart-shaped glasses (3.9%).
1) CryptoPunks #5066 — 857 ETH
The most expensive NFT sold in 2023 is CryptoPunk #5066. It was sold on February 6 for 857 ETH ($1.4 million). Not only is it another zombie punk (1 of 88), but it has an earring (1 of 2,459), a knitted hat (1 of 419), and a smile (1 of 238). p>
