About Henry Kissinger
Henry Kissinger was born in Germany in 1923; he arrived in the United States in 1938, fleeing Nazi Germany with his family. He became a U.S. citizen in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army for three years, including service in the Counter Intelligence Corps.
Kissinger obtained bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from Harvard University and later taught international relations at the same institution.
In 1969, President Richard Nixon appointed him as the National Security Advisor, a role that bestowed significant influence on U.S. foreign policy.
