In recent years, there has been a trend of using AI-generated images on the internet, and many netizens have been deceived by these AI images. Surprisingly, there's now even an AI girlfriend!

23-year-old American woman Caryn Marjorie, who gained popularity on the social media platform Snapchat, has announced the launch of the CarynAI chatbot, featuring herself as the model.

The chatbot provides fans with the experience of a "virtual girlfriend," aiming to be an "artificial intelligence girlfriend" for those feeling lonely. Voice calls are charged at $1 per minute, and she estimates that out of the 20,000 people registered for the service among her 1.8 million Snapchat followers, she believes the company could eventually generate US$5 million in monthly revenue.

The Original Intention

Marjorie said,

"In our generation, the Z generation, we find ourselves undergoing significant side effects of isolation caused by the pandemic, leading many to be excessively fearful and anxious, hesitant to engage in conversations with people they are interested in."

She further commented,

"CarynAI represents a positive move forward, enabling my fans and supporters to connect with a version of me that can be their closest companion in a secure and encrypted environment."

The First Influencer Transformed Into AI

Being the first influencer to do this allowed me to price my product at whatever I wanted," she said of the $ 1-minute fee.

Marjorie told Insider that while the virtual version of herself should be "flirty and fun," which she said reflects her personality, she was trying to be "one step ahead" to make sure that the chatbot does not tarnish her reputation.

Empty Youtube Channel’s Videos; Being Testing

CarynAI utilises OpenAI's GPT-4 API and is trained using videos from Marjorie's YouTube channel, some of which have since been deleted.

As per the information on CarynAI's website, over 2,000 hours were dedicated to the design and coding of the authentic voice and behaviours for Marjorie. It is transforming the personality into an "immersive AI experience". it is claimed to be accessible at any time, providing a sensation akin to "directly conversing with Caryn herself."

A magazine reporter, after trying it out, mentioned that they could engage in conversations with Caryn AI on topics such as food, news, etc.

Additionally, it also supports "alternative conversations," such as providing detailed descriptions of explicit scenes during chats. Marjorie stated that she won't disclose her current location to fans and has hired 24-hour security to ensure her personal safety.
