Starknet Foundation, the powerhouse behind Ethereum's layer-2 blockchain Starknet, has unveiled a Gaming Committee with a substantial budget of $125.5 million. This move aims to bolster gaming activities on the network and has allocated tokens to finance the committee's endeavors.
The newly established Gaming Committee, comprising industry experts, is geared towards expanding Starknet's gaming ecosystem. With 50 million Starknet (STRK) tokens earmarked for funding proposals, the committee's mission includes incentivizing developers to create games on Starknet and encouraging user engagement.
Starknet emphasized that the committee's success metrics would revolve around user engagement indicators such as daily active users, retention rates, and revenue generation. This underscores the initiative's commitment to driving adoption and fostering a thriving gaming community.
The committee boasts a diverse lineup of six members, including Henri Lieutaud, head of developer relations at Starknet, Chris Lexmond, founder of Unstoppable Games, and Gabin Marignier, co-founder of Web3-based productivity app Focus Tree.
