ATOM Economic Zone (AEZ) Quadratic Funding is the first ATOM Economic Zone (AEZ) quadratic funding initiated by Dora Factory, aiming to fund long-term public goods and emerging application chains in the AEZ ecosystem , support the long-term and healthy development of the ecology. After the one-month application period, 8 important public goods projects in the Cosmos ecosystem were selected for the first round of quadratic funding, and the community will ultimately vote to determine how the $50,000 funding will be distributed. The deadline for voting in this round is March 3, 2024.
The term Quadratic Voting first appeared in the article "Radical Markets" by Eric Posner and Glen Weyl, and was later extended to the concept of on-chain Quadratic Funding based on this article. , hoping to ensure the fairness of fund distribution while encouraging the blockchain community to actively support public goods and related developer teams.
Currently, AEZ’s long-term quadratic funding has completed the first round of applications on the global geek sports platform DoraHacks.io and entered the community voting stage. The eight projects selected in the first round cover SDK/middleware/tool sets, media, Defi, NFT and other important fields. Members of the Cosmos community are welcome to vote for your favorite projects. The eight selected projects are:
Abstract SDK – the next generation of CosmWasm modular cross-chain application framework and on-chain infrastructure.
CosmWasm Orchestrator – Universal tool for CosmWasm testing, scripting and deployment. It provides testing capabilities not found in any other smart contract testing framework.
CW-Interchain Accounts Controller – a pure CosmWasm implementation of ICS-27, capable of controlling all IBC chains (even those that do not support Wasm). It bypasses Go API limitations.
InterChain NFT Gateway – an NFT trading application that enables seamless operations across chains, enhancing users’ ability to effectively manage their NFT portfolios.
Packet Forward Middleware – Developed by Strangelove Crypto, designed to simplify blockchain interconnection through efficient multi-hop IBC routing.
The Rollup – a blockchain education and blog platform that provides users with reliable and easily accessible educational information resources in the era of rapid development of Cosmos DeFi.
Pouch – a cross-chain fund custody protocol that provides supplementary security for existing wallets.
Fairblock Network – implements programmable privacy protocols and conditional decryption through several cryptographic mechanisms, enabling all Cosmos chains and second-layer networks to implement modules ized and programmable privacy.

Voters can directly vote to fund the selected projects; at the same time, based on the voting results, the selected projects will also be allocated a quadratic funding of 5,000 ATOM (approximately US$50,000).
As the governance layer of the application chain ecosystem and the maintainer of CosmosSDK, CosmosHub itself does not support specific applications. This quadratic funding is carried out on the Dora Vota-ATOM channel. Voting participants need to transfer $ATOM to the Dora Vota network through IBC Send before voting. As an open and compatible network, Dora Vota will support more IBC Tokens in subsequent funding rounds, allowing a wider range of Cosmos community members to participate in building Cosmos ecological public goods and application chains.
