Tiger Woods has publicly confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump.
The golf legend shared the news on March 23, 2025, via social media, posting two photos of the couple alongside a heartfelt caption
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time, we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
Interwinning Sports and politics
Vanessa Trump, 47, the former daughter-in-law of President Trump, who was previously married to the eldest son of Trump, Donald Trump Jr from 2005 and separated in 2018.
The couple shares five children, including Kai Trump, who is an avid golfer and attends The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida—the same school as Woods’ children, Sam and Charlie.
Interestingly, Kai and Charlie recently competed in a prestigious junior golf tournament, further intertwining their families through shared interests.
Woods, 49, has traditionally kept his personal life private following his highly publicized divorce from Swedish model Elin Nordegren in 2010. That marriage ended amidst a scandal involving infidelity that rocked both his personal reputation and professional career.
Since then, Woods has been linked to high-profile relationships with Lindsey Vonn and Erica Herman, the latter ending in a legal dispute that was eventually dismissed.
The Road to Romance
Reports speculated that Woods and Vanessa began seeing each other quietly toward the end of 2024, with rumors first surfacing around Thanksgiving. Vanessa was reportedly spotted visiting Woods’ home on Jupiter Island, Florida—a location close to her own residence.
Their relationship became public during the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in February 2025, where Vanessa’s daughter Kai was photographed alongside Woods as he hosted the event.
While the announcement of their relationship may have surprised some, but sources close to Nordegren revealed that she took the news in stride. According to insiders, her initial reaction was reportedly more of amusement rather than shock.
Both Woods and Vanessa have longstanding ties to Donald Trump. Woods previously received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump in 2019 for his contributions to golf and philanthropy. Woods also, on several occasions, played gold with Trump and even attended a White House meeting earlier this year to discuss the fractured state of professional golf amidst the rise of Saudi-backed LIV Golf.
Apart from being the daughter-in-law of President Trump, she frequently participated in official events during Trump's presidency.
Woods’ announcement comes at a challenging time for him professionally. Earlier this month, he revealed that he had ruptured his left Achilles tendon during training—a setback that will keep him out of major tournaments like the Masters for the foreseeable future. Despite these challenges, Woods appears optimistic about this new chapter in his personal life.
A high profile relationship
The pairing has sparked widespread media coverage and social media buzz. While some have celebrated the union as a fresh start for both individuals, others have speculated about its implications given their high-profile backgrounds.
Vanessa’s past as a model and actress—coupled with her ties to one of America’s most prominent political families—adds another layer of intrigue to their relationship.
As Woods continues to navigate his recovery from injury and Vanessa adjusts to life under renewed public scrutiny, their relationship remains a focal point for fans and critics alike. Whether this romance will stand the test of time remains uncertain, but for now, Tiger Woods seems ready to embrace love once more.
