The boss behind CIC Ventures LLC is Trump
CIC Ventures LLC, fully owned by Trump according to his 2023 financial disclosure, is behind the release of these sneakers. The company clarifies it is not connected to Trump’s political campaign. The sneakers are described as celebrating both the future of finance and Trump’s leadership, making them appealing to crypto enthusiasts and Trump supporters.
The company previously launched the "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT HIGH-Tops" as part of a craze to profit from the former president's attempted assassination, as well as the "Never Surrender" and "Red Tide" shoes.
Trump’s Pro-Crypto Shift
In 2021, the former president described Bitcoin as "like a scam" and said he had no interest in cryptocurrencies, which he claimed were technically worthless compared to assets such as the U.S. dollar.
However, at the beginning of this year, Trump quickly pivoted to becoming an advocate of Bitcoin and other digital assets.
This release aligns with Trump’s recent pro-crypto stance, which has become a key element of his re-election campaign. He has proposed establishing a national Bitcoin reserve and positioning the U.S. as a leading crypto nation. The sneaker launch follows his appearance at a Bitcoin conference, where he expressed strong support for the crypto industry.
