ApeCoin DAO Proposes Closure Of Non-Essential Workgroups

According to Odaily, ApeCoin DAO has introduced proposal AIP-466 on the Snapshot governance page, aiming to shut down non-essential workgroups. The proposal outlines the closure of four workgroups, which collectively incur an annual expenditure of nearly $3 million. The workgroups slated for dissolution include the Governance Workgroup, responsible for drafting guidelines and the governance workgroup charter (AIP-239); the Marketing and Communications Workgroup, which handles the marketing and communications charter (AIP-246); the Metaverse Workgroup, tasked with the metaverse workgroup charter (AIP-245); and the Web3 Development Workgroup, which oversees the Web3 development charter (AIP-376). The voting on this proposal is set to conclude on October 17, with a current approval rate of 98.19%.
