In terms of security risk assessment, the committee evaluates proposed upgrades to Starknet's core contracts, identifying potential vulnerabilities. For emergency responses, the committee can take immediate action with a 75% approval vote in urgent situations. The approval process for upgrades requires a thorough security review and at least 50% committee approval. Transparency is maintained by publishing reports on approved, rejected, and emergency decisions to uphold trust within the Starknet community. Furthermore, the committee's role is strictly limited to ensuring network security and cannot reject upgrades for reasons unrelated to security.
