Alfred Chuang is the founder of Race Capital. Recognized by Andreessen Horowitz as the Silicon Valley CEO’s CEO, Alfred Chuang an accomplished entrepreneur and venture investor. Alfred is also the Founder and Chairman of Magnet Systems. Magnet is a next generation mobile and web platform company that is also the provider of Magnet Beauty. Also known for being the co-founder and CEO of BEA Systems, Alfred led BEA Systems to its acquisition by Oracle for $8.6 billion. Alfred is a proud Hong Kong entrepreneur and alumnus of Wah Yan College, Hong Kong. He also received a B.S. in computer science from the University of San Francisco and a master's degree in computer science with specialization in distributed data management from the University of California, Davis. Alfred's notable awards include C/F Silicon Valley Philanthropist of the Year, SD Forum Visionary Award, CIO Magazine 20/20 Vision Award Honoree and Community Star from Asian Americans for Community Involvement, eChina Forum Silicon Valley Award Honoree, and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist.
