The notice was due to Ripple missing the deadline to submit a confirmation and appearance notice form related to the SEC lawsuit. The deadline for this submission was October 18, 2024. The court has granted Ripple a 14-day extension, allowing the team until November 1, 2024, to file the necessary documents. If Ripple's attorneys fail to meet this new deadline, they may be prohibited from presenting their arguments at the upcoming appeal hearing without special court permission. Legal experts, including attorney Fred Rispoli, have commented on the matter, noting that while the impact of missing the submission may seem minor, it is an avoidable error, especially given the high legal fees Ripple is paying.
