Fed's Goolsbee Predicts Inflation To Reach 2% Amid Temporary Fluctuations

According to Odaily, Federal Reserve official Goolsbee has stated that the inflation rate is still expected to reach 2%. He noted that today's data indicates recent inflationary pressures are merely a 'bump.' Goolsbee forecasts that the interest rate path for 2025 will be slightly lower. Over the next 12 to 18 months, interest rates may significantly decrease. Currently, the policy rate is restrictive and remains far from the neutral rate.
